We’ve finished reissuing the OGR24 stubs needed for pass 2 and have already
begin receiving a significant number of them back. We’ll continue to wait
a couple of weeks at least before reissuing the stubs that haven’t been
returned.

Tonight we’ll be allowing OGR distribution to “run dry”, not only to ensure
that all of the recycled OGR24 stubs get fully flushed out to the network,
but also to test the network performance of having a project open but no
work units available to it. We’ll resume normal distribution of OGR25 at
Nov 11 06:00:0 GMT or possibly earlier.

Part of the fixing I did on stats was to change the statsrun so that it
used a different table for determining what team each participant is on.
Unfortunately, there are some discrepancies between the table that’s in
use now, and the table that was being used. Please check to make sure that
your work is being submitted to your team. If it’s not, simply re-join
your team. Sorry for the confusion.

Based on the activity on the server, it seems a bunch of you already know
this, but stats are back up. I still need to pull in some additional team
info that was recovered, but that’ll have to wait ’till tomorrow. G’night.

RC5 is caught up (except for today), and OGR is running right now. I need
to make another backup of the database, but after that stats should be
back online. Peter still hasn’t had a chance to work on getting some new
drives in, though, so expect some more downtime later this week.

Over the next week or two, we’ll be resuming mixed distribution of the
secondary pass of OGR-24 data along with OGR-25 data. So when checking
your statistics on our statsbox, take that fact into consideration and be
aware that some of the work that your client(s) may have done may be listed
under the OGR-24 or OGR-25 pages.

Quick status update… RC5 stats are running now; Nov. 4th is nearly done.
As soon as RC5 stats are done, I will start the OGR stats. Peter and I
will be working on some hardware changes to the box tonight though, so
don’t expect stats to come back on until that’s completed. If things go
well tonight, stats should be back on in the morning.

I’ve started running RC5 stats again… it’s working on 11/01 right now.
I’m still getting an error from dbcc checkalloc though, which I’d really
like to fix before bringing everything back online. Nugget was also able
to get me a BCP of the teams table from May of this year… that should
drop the number of affected teams down to 20-30 or so.
