Whatever.
distributed.net staff keep (relatively) up-to-date logs of their activities in .plan files. These were traditionally available via finger, but we've put them on the web for easier consumption.

To develop Web-based applications for the management and planning of day-to-day and future DCTI activities using PHP3, MySQL, and whatever else works. :)

things are progressing with my dynamic object code loader. Almost
have fixup record loading complete. I’ve ruled out gnu dld and gnu bfd
as possibilities.

This is just an experiment. I’m testing my planman code.
I want to see if it creates the /plan/ directory properly.

In a fit of idleness, I’ve coded a nifty little shell script, planman,
which automates the updating of my plan file for me. It’s really quite
slick. I run planman, which fires up my editor and allows me to type in
my little blurb for the plan file. Once I exit the editor, it ispells
the update, appends the timestamp, saves an archive copy in my
public_html/plan/ directory and attaches it to the live .plan file.
then, it trims off entries until the plan file is < 128 lines.
God I love unix.

Watcher is now officially offline. Those users on nodezero who had
accounts on watcher have been provided with a tar file of their
watcher home directory. Please be careful, as any linux/watcher
specific configuration files from watcher will probably not be as
useful here, so watch your step untarring.

Well my improved caching Apache module has been completed and put in
operation and it has been performing surprisingly well. Users should
notice that performance and response of the stats box has improved
significantly because of this!
some permission problems were preventing the fetcher and flusher from
operating correctly. This problem should be fixed now.
clientcheck has been ported from sh to perl. This script allows us to
do automated checks on the url links on our client download page to
ensure that they are all valid.

Well, thanks to the generosity, efficiency, and overall high degree
of cluefullness of our friends at visi.com, nodezero now has a
cozy new home with ample bandwidth. Throughout the rest of this
week we’ll migrate services over here, starting with DNS.
According to silby, it looks like we’re very close to my being able
to resume work on statsbox-ii. I’d expect progress as early as the
end of the week as the details of OGR are made available.
The bad news, as many of you have figured out, we ran into problems
during last night’s stats run. Due to our having run out of space
on the keymaster (and not noticing for several hours) we were unable
to process half of yesterday’s (22-Sep) logs.
Not to fear, the missing data will be re-injected as soon as we can
compile the lost logs from the individual keyserver logfiles.
Sorry for the confusion and inconvienence this may have caused!

the fetcher and flusher and rc5help have now been moved onto nodezero
and their configuration adjusted for the new machine.
